Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt shares emotional message: ‘My heart is absolutely broken’

Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt has spoken out following the devastating Texas floods that claimed the lives of more than 100 people, including dozens of children attending summer camps in the Hill Country.

The Fox & Friends co-host, 48, took to social media to share a deeply personal message, expressing grief for the victims and solidarity with the families left behind.

“I am so heartbroken about what has happened with the floods in Texas,” she wrote. “I am praying for the families and friends of the victims of the floods – and for the sweet babies from Camp Mystic.
May they Rest In Peace. Sending love and prayers to you all.”

Earhardt’s post included a solemn photo of a cross atop a mountain and quickly drew responses from followers who echoed her emotions. “It’s so tragic & heartbreaking,” one user commented. Another wrote, “I can’t stop crying for thinking about all the families who have lost loved ones.”

Camp Mystic Among the Hardest-Hit

Located along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Camp Mystic was hosting hundreds of girls when flash floods tore through the region early Friday morning, July 5.

More than 12 inches of rain fell overnight, causing the river to rise 26 feet in just 45 minutes, sweeping away cabins, vehicles, and entire families. The storm’s impact was most devastating between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., when the water surged rapidly and warning systems could no longer keep up.

As of Monday afternoon, 84 people have been confirmed dead in Kerr County alone, including 28 children, according to Sheriff Larry Leitha. That number climbs to at least 104 fatalities statewide, with dozens still missing.

Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp, has been at the center of national attention after reports confirmed that 10 campers and one counselor remain unaccounted for. Families across Texas continue to pray for answers and await news amid ongoing search and rescue operations.

A Moment of National Mourning

Earhardt’s tribute reflects a growing outpouring of grief from across the country, as well-known figures, public officials, and everyday Americans come to terms with the scale of the tragedy.

With rain still in the forecast and waterlogged communities bracing for more challenges, efforts to locate the missing and support survivors remain the top priority for rescue teams.
