Morgan Wallen Brings Out José Bautista in Toronto — and Accidentally Hits His Wife With a Bat
Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour has been full of surprises, with the country superstar inviting celebrities from across sports and entertainment to join him for his walkouts. Past cameos have included NFL legend Rob Gronkowski, Kid Rock, comedian David Spade (in his Joe Dirt character), and MLB great Randy Johnson.
But on September 5, 2025, during his second night at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, Wallen gave fans a hometown thrill by walking out alongside José Bautista, the Blue Jays icon best remembered for his legendary bat flip during the 2015 ALDS.
“Certified Slugger”
The Blue Jays’ official account shared a video of Bautista and Wallen striding out together, captioning it: “The King is back in his castle 🐐.”
Wallen himself posted footage showing Bautista handing him a bat, which Wallen swung before tossing into the air in tribute to Bautista’s signature move. “Certified slugger,” Wallen wrote alongside the clip, a nod to the playful moment.
Fans in the sold-out stadium roared, thrilled to see one of their city’s biggest sports heroes sharing the stage with one of country’s biggest stars.
The Bat Mishap
But not everything went as smoothly as planned. In a now-viral video, Neisha Bautista, José’s wife of nearly eight years, captured the moment on her phone—only for Wallen’s celebratory bat toss to land squarely in her direction.
In the clip, Neisha can be heard reassuring those around her with a quick “I’m good!” while someone nearby asks if she’s okay. Wallen, who wasn’t looking when he released the bat, clearly had no idea it would go her way.
Thankfully, there were no injuries — just a funny and unexpected twist on what was supposed to be a lighthearted tribute.
A Toronto Highlight
The incident aside, Wallen’s Toronto shows were a milestone on his stadium trek. The two-night stand came just after he posted a viral photo of himself scraped up from a bike crash, making his clean, energetic performance all the more notable.
For Blue Jays fans, the cameo cemented Bautista’s place as one of the city’s most beloved athletes, and Wallen’s bat flip homage gave the baseball legend a country-sized welcome back to his old stomping grounds.
