Chris & Morgane Stapleton Deliver Stunning Duet of “I Hope You Dance”
A Radiothon Performance to Remember
When it comes to powerhouse musical duos, Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane never miss. Though Chris is the name on the front of the records, Morgane’s harmonies and occasional leads have always been the secret ingredient that elevates his sound to another level.
During a St. Jude Radiothon on the Bobby Bones Show, the pair delivered one of their most moving performances yet — a stripped-down cover of Lee Ann Womack’s 2000 classic “I Hope You Dance.” With Chris on acoustic guitar and Morgane sharing the spotlight, the performance showcased the raw vocal chemistry that has defined their career.
Morgane even stepped into the lead during the song’s bridge, a rare but powerful shift that left listeners floored.
The Legacy of “I Hope You Dance”
Originally written by Mark D. Sanders and Tia Sillers and recorded by Lee Ann Womack featuring Sons of the Desert, the track became an instant phenomenon upon its release.
It topped both the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts.
It reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It went on to win Single of the Year at the 2001 CMA Awards and Song of the Year at the ACM Awards.
It also won a Grammy for Best Country Song, cementing its place as one of the most celebrated country singles of all time.
Hearing Chris and Morgane breathe new life into the ballad proved why the song continues to resonate decades later.
Looking Ahead: The All-American Road Show Returns
Beyond unforgettable moments like this, Stapleton is already preparing for a massive 2026. He just announced new dates for his All-American Road Show tour, which will feature only Chris and his full band — no opening acts, just a night dedicated entirely to his music.
This format is rare for a star of his caliber and promises a uniquely intimate yet powerful concert experience.
Confirmed dates include:
Feb. 4–5, 2026 – Las Vegas, NV – Dolby Live at Park MGM
Feb. 20–21, 2026 – Thackerville, OK – WinStar Lukas Oil Live
Feb. 27–28, 2026 – Uncasville, CT – Mohegan Sun Casino
Plus previously announced fall 2025 shows in Hollywood, Gonzales, and Panama City Beach.
Tickets for the new run go on sale Friday, Sept. 26.
Awards, Collaborations, and New Music
Stapleton’s tour announcement arrives during yet another banner year. He’s up for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Music Video of the Year at the 59th Annual CMA Awards. Earlier in 2025, he secured his fifth ACM Award for Male Artist of the Year.
On the music side, he recently teamed up with Miranda Lambert for the duet “A Song To Sing,” a groovy, retro-inspired number that channels the timeless chemistry of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
Fans are still spinning his 2023 album Higher, but given Stapleton’s momentum, many are hopeful 2026 will bring fresh solo material as well.
