Nicole Kidman Officially Files for Divorce
Just one day after news of her split from Keith Urban went public, Nicole Kidman has officially filed for divorce.
According to court documents, Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending their 19-year marriage. The filing listed September 30 as the date of separation.
Custody & Financial Arrangements
The filings show that Kidman will act as the primary residential parent of the couple’s two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14). Under the agreement, the children will spend 306 days per year with Kidman and 59 days with Urban.
Both parties have agreed to a final child support order of $0 and have requested that no alimony or spousal support be awarded.
What Went Wrong
The couple had long been admired as one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories, making the breakup especially shocking to fans. However, insiders suggest their demanding schedules created growing distance.
Urban, 57, has been heavily touring while Kidman, 58, has been locked into back-to-back filming projects. According to one source, the lack of time together led to a “lack of intimacy” that strained the relationship beyond repair.
“Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour,” a source told the Daily Mail. “There was a lot of love between the two … They’ve been together for decades so there is a world where they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, they are not a couple.”
A Shocking End to a Beloved Union
Married since 2006, Kidman and Urban were often seen as one of the most solid couples in both Hollywood and Nashville. Their split not only marks the end of a nearly two-decade marriage but also leaves fans questioning whether reconciliation is possible — or if this marks a final chapter.
