Nicolas Coster, a celebrated soap opera actor, passed away at 89. He was best known for his role as Lionel Lockridge on the popular soap opera “Santa Barbara” in the 1980s and 1990s. His daughter, Dinneen, shared her heartfelt tribute on Facebook, calling him a “real actor’s actor.”
Coster was born in London in 1933 but moved to the United States to escape World War II. His passion for acting blossomed during high school in Los Angeles. After studying acting at the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art in the UK, he began his career with roles in shows like “The United States Steel Hour.”
Throughout his career, Coster appeared in numerous programs, including “Charlie’s Angels,” “Another World,” “One Day At A Time,” and “One Life To Live.” He also performed on Broadway in “Seesaw.”
His most significant role was as Lionel Lockridge, a wealthy and adventurous character on “Santa Barbara.
