A father faced a dilemma when he discovered his 16-year-old daughter bullying a cancer-stricken girl at school, culminating in her forcibly removing the girl’s wig. The father, sharing his predicament online, sought advice on how to handle the situation.
“Apparently there is some pre-existing bad blood between the two of them, but I don’t think that even begins to excuse her behavior,” the father said. The animosity stemmed from his daughter dating the other girl’s ex-boyfriend.
To teach his daughter a lesson, he presented two options: disposing of her electronics or shaving her head. She chose the latter and attended school bald. Some applauded his actions, believing it would foster compassion and empathy in his daughter.
Others, however, condemned him for resorting to humiliation and abuse, arguing that grounding or losing electronics would have sufficed.
The father’s controversial decision sparked a heated debate on parenting methods and discipline.
