27 years ago, Patrick Swayze’s dance with his wife melted millions of hearts

The video below shows Patrick Swayze dancing with his loving wife for the first time on international television. It was 1994, and the occasion was the World Music Awards. That’s when Patrick Swayze and his lovely wife, Lisa Nieme, appeared onstage. The duet effortlessly shifted to “All the Man That I Need,” a song initially recorded as “All the Man That I Need” by Linda Clifford in 1982 and later covered by Whitney Houston in 1991.

Whitney’s performance peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States, and it is still her fourth-best success on that chart. This dance performance by Swayze and Nieme was a tribute to the incredible talent that is Whitney Houston. You’ll be astounded when you see how well they performed! This event took place a few years after Dirty Dancing, and Patrick gave an outstanding performance.

The pair performed some seemingly effortless movements. Both of them are clearly exceptional dancers and entertainers. They had an extraordinary relationship. Patrick and Lisa were married for 34 years when he died in 2009. When Swayze was 18, he met Lisa, who was taking dance lessons from his mother. Whitney Houston may be seen cheering heartily at the end of the video.
