A bridge in Baltimore has collapsed after a ship crashed into it, causing significant damage, according to reports on social media. The incident happened around 01:30 (local time). The crash caused a fire and then a large section of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland collapsed. The vehicles fell into the water.
The ship that crashed into the bridge is called the Deli, has a Singaporean flag and was carrying containers. “Container ship hits Key Bridge in Baltimore. A part of the bridge has collapsed. Several fire and police boats are on their way,” said boat operator Andrew Doyle.
