Megyn Kelly met her future husband in weird circumstances, and he even proposed with a fake gem ring…

Megyn Kelly, a Fox employee, and her husband Douglas Brunt are the definition of a power couple thanks to their intriguing union. Although he proposed with a phony gem ring on a blind date, they now enjoy a lovely happily ever after.

Fox News’ vivacious Megyn Kelly and her spouse of more than ten years have a fascinating love story. But before their heavenly love, she had been betrayed and her marriage had ended.

Dan Kendall, a physician, was Kelly’s first husband. They first connected at a festival in Chicago where Kelly, an attorney, was employed by “Bickel & Brewer.”

The passionate woman immediately captured Kendall’s attention as a medical student, and the two quickly became friends. They didn’t start dating until Kelly dumped her ex-boyfriend. They eventually started dating and moved in together, first to Chicago and then to New York.

They were married in a lavish ceremony that included a service in a Chicago church and a reception at the Waldorf in 2001, only a few weeks after the 9/11 catastrophe.

Because of their occupations, there were obvious issues in their marriage from the beginning. While Kendall fought to become a successful doctor, his wife preferred to pursue a remarkable career.

Fortunately, he found work at Baltimore’s esteemed Johns Hopkins Hospital, and his wife moved there with him. In the new state, Kelly established both a legal practice and a media career. She eventually landed a job with Fox news as a result of her cunning.

The couple had their ideal careers, lived in a lavish mansion, but there was a growing gap. They started to spend time apart from one another and subsequently grew distant. To quote Kendall:

“Both of us required help with cooking and cleaning. She possesses a strong Type A mentality. She need a type B spouse.”

They divorced amicably after nearly five years of marriage and four and a half years of dating, and they have since appreciated one other’s individuality.

Kendall, though, spoke up about his displeasure with the news star in 2015. He brought up other interviews she had given, in which she had discussed experiencing betrayal.

Kelly clarified that the betrayal was not from her second husband, but she chose not to identify the offender. In order to be clear, Kendall said that he was not the unfaithful husband that his ex claimed he was.

The doctor defended his innocence and said that after Kelly made the statement, he apologized and she accepted. He said this:

“I can categorically state that I was totally devoted to Megyn.

She apologized when I texted her at the time. I believe I made a great husband.”

At a bar, Kelly and Douglas Brunt first met. Brunt is the CEO of a Florida-based security software company. Both sides were anxiously anticipating their scheduled blind date.

Brunt, a former tech specialist who is now a well-known author, had seen the blonde beauty on Fox News, but he was curious about her demeanor. The newscaster, on the other hand, had never seen him and knew nothing about him.

The Internet security executive was reportedly a very attractive man, according to Kelly’s pals who watched him at the pub. Years later, Kelly confirmed these reports.

She stayed for more reasons besides appearances. He expressed sincere interest in their talk throughout their date. Kelly made mention of:

He leaned forward and paid close attention to what I was saying as we spoke.

The new couple closed the evening with an embarrassing kiss after becoming enthralled by one other’s personality. Brunt remarked that she found it odd that he kissed her in front of the security guard, as if their parents were present.

She arrived in his hotel room the following day anticipating a profound impact from his upcoming kiss. As their romance developed, they kept up a distance relationship that felt in some way jeopardized by Kelly’s notoriety.

They both voiced the same worries. The CEO admitted that dating someone in public wasn’t something he was used to. However, Brunt quickly became accustomed to the spotlight, concentrating more on Kelly’s remarkable character and tenacity.

A few months into their relationship, the lovers were unsure about their future despite the amazing moment and sincerity they had from the beginning.

They were close friends who thought they were the ideal fit, but it took a brief breakup for them to understand they were willing to give their future a chance. As the couple walked Kelly’s dogs in Washington on New Year’s Eve, Brunt unintentionally let go of one of the dogs’ leashes.

Even when her partner apologized, Kelly was still unhappy since the puppy almost got hit by a car. A few hours later they split up again, but this time the IT guru was mature enough to let down his guard.

Kelly was sent to New York not long after the reconciliation. Brunt hastily proposed since the couple was aware that this was a key time in their relationship.

He had planned to pop the question in the fall, but he was impatient and went to a costume shop to get a replica of the priceless rock from the movie “Titanic.”

A surprised Kelly found the proposal implausible, which almost knocked his confidence off balance. Brunt planned the proposal over a beach outing. As stated by Brunt:

“She took so long to respond that I believed I had completely embarrassed myself.”

At Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York, they exchanged vows more than four months later in front of 130 guests. Immediately following their nuptials, the Fox contributor alleged:

“But the two of us instantly clicked in terms of our interests, sense of humor, and life goals. I just have a gut feeling that the man I’m with and I are in love.”

Brunt shared Kelly’s enthusiasm for their fresh beginning, and they have maintained that enthusiasm over the years.

These two are definitely a fantastic team in the entertainment industry, as evidenced by the way they share and gush over one other’s images and offer support in the face of critical remarks.

The author posted a monochrome throwback photo of himself and the Fox News personality in 2018. The caption next to it read:

“Throwback picture: I’ve been married to this lovely woman for ten years and two weeks today. Wonderful wife and mother. Dearest you,”

In addition to singing his wife’s praises, the former tech executive has shielded their family.

He instantly hit out at the haters in 2017 when the news anchor was lambasted for attending NBC vice president Ron Meyer’s after-party with a lot of security because she had covertly replaced Matt Laur.

Brunt defends his family, but his wife is incredibly happy to be a member of the squad. Her biography on Twitter states:

Happy to be Doug’s wife, crazy in love with my kids Yates, Yardley, and Thatcher, a journalist.

Kelly prioritizes spending time with her gorgeous family, which includes her husband and their three children, despite being a social climber and a controversial figure.

Yates, the couple’s first child, was born in 2009. Yardley, their first child, was born in 2011, and Thatcher, their second child, joined his siblings two years later.

The mother of three gushed over Yates and called Yardley “wonderful” in her book “Settle For More,” which detailed her transition into parenting. She penned:

“Despite claims to the contrary, I believe Yates to be a little Doug. He was a kind spirit when he first entered this planet, and he still is today.”

Before being a devoted mother to three children, Kelly was concerned about her reputation. She was worried about neglecting her motherly responsibilities. Her words are:

“At first, especially when I just had one child, I did worry about whether I was a good parent and whether I was neglecting my responsibilities.”

Since becoming a mother and a wife more than ten years ago, Kelly has shown to be an excellent parent and wife while still pushing herself to build up her portfolio. The TV personality’s love story demonstrates that if one searches long enough and is persistent enough, love may be found.
