In the first film, Adam played New York City police detective Nick Spitz, while Jennifer played his wife Audrey, a hairdresser and murder mystery novel fan. The regular couple finds themselves in the middle of a murder investigation aboard a billionaire’s boat in Europe. Audrey and Nick are drawn into a new international case in the sequel, which is also authored by James Vanderbilt when their friend is abducted during his own wedding.
Jennifer and Adam are listening in on a phone call over the loudspeaker on Paris’ historic roadway, the Pont des Arts, in the new snap. Jennifer is carrying some baggage and wearing a fur-lined black coat, while Adam has his left arm in a sling. In the first shot, the actor is dressed in a large coat and sunglasses.
Jennifer released an Instagram Reel in April 2022, closing up the film in Paris with Eartha Kitt’s song C’est Si Bon. The video showed Adam and other cast members working behind the scenes on the film. Adam and Jennifer are also involved in the sequel’s production.
Adeel Akhtar and John Kani will return for the sequel, along with Mark Strong, Melanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kuhoo Verma, Enrique Arce, Tony Goldwyn, Annie Mumolo, and Zurin Villanueva. A portion of the film will also be set in the Caribbean.
With the recent success of Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Netflix might be in for another murder mystery blockbuster in March. The original picture amassed 170 million hours of viewing time in its first 28 days and was even named one of the top ten most-watched Netflix movies of all time. Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, according to reports, will serve as some inspiration for the sequel.
