For the recently released duet, “Where No One Stands Alone,” Elvis Presley made an appearance in the video alongside his daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
The song serves as the lead single for a brand-new Elvis compilation that was published in 2018. It included newly-recorded instrumentation and backing vocals together with vintage Elvis vocal performances, largely from his gospel albums How Great Thou Art and He Touched Me.
Lisa Marie discussed the song’s creation at the time of its release and said, “I just felt extremely emotional. It’s never enjoyable to sing while crying.
“I wouldn’t say I chat to him, but I just remember everything and all the…,” she continued. When I need aid, as with this record, I can occasionally ask for it and just sort of extract whatever memories I have from the files.
“I thought I felt a hand reach out to me. A tiny amount of that was how it felt.
Since the duet’s release, Lisa Marie has encountered several challenges, most notably the death of her son Benjamin Keough in 2020 at the age of 27.
Three months after his death, The King’s grandson was buried close to his grandfather Elvis Presley at Graceland following self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Additionally, it was Graceland’s first burial following the famed home’s opening to visitors.
When Elvis Presley passed away, his ex-wife Priscilla Presley issued the following statement: “I hope it will get better every morning when I wake up. Then I consider my daughter and the suffering she is experiencing because she was a devoted mother. Danny, Ben’s father, is terribly lost because Ben is his only child.”
“Harper and Finley, who were utterly devoted to Ben; Riley, who was so kind and close to him. Navarone, who suffers greatly from death and sorrow. Ben, may you rest in peace; we loved you.”
