Four of Hollywood’s most iconic actresses were pictured together in an awe-inspiring group snap last week.
Jane Fonda, 85, Lily Tomlin, 83, Rita Moreno, 91, and Sally Field, 76 all attended the premiere of their new film, 80 For Brady, which took place at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California last week.
Jane, Lily and Sally all chose sleek black for the event, while Rita wore a red poncho with a gold brooch, matching red boots and a leopard print dress underneath.
The gals reunited to promote the sports comedy, produced by NFL legend Tom Brady.
It follows four friends as they travel to Houston to watch their hero, New England Patriots player Tom Brady, play in Super Bowl LI.
The team, led by Brady, really did play at Super Bowl LI in 2017 which they won against the Atlanta Falcons.
Joining the legendary quartet is a huge ensemble cast, including Tom Brady as himself, Pose star Billy Porter, Rob Corddry, Alex Moffat, Guy Fieri as himself, Harry Hamlin, Bob Balaban, Glynn Turman, Sara Gilbert, Jimmy O. Yang, Ron Funches, Matt Laurie, Sally Kirkland and Alex Bentley.
Brady’s former Patriots teammates Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman have cameo appearances as themselves, too.
The premiere event comes after Jane revealed she was in remission following a battle with cancer. She revealed in an Instagram post that she was able to stop chemotherapy, having undergone treatment for six months.
“Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer was in remission and I can discontinue chemo,” she wrote. “I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate. I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way.
“I am confident that it played a role in the good news. I’m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything,” she explained.
The Barbarella star shared the update around a week before her 85th birthday, calling her health news ‘BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!”.
She accompanied the post with a picture of herself and members of the public in Washington D.C. for the ‘first live, in-person Fire Drill Fridays rally’.
The activist has continued to lobby for climate change awareness, adding: “The effects wore off just as I went to D.C. for the first live, in-person Fire Drill Fridays rally. Thank heavens for that because it was a busy week.
“Besides the rally, I did some lobbying and spoke twice at the Democracy Alliance all in an effort to stop Senator Joe Manchin’s side deal which climate activists call the Dirty Deal.
“This deal, called ‘permitting reform,’ seeks to fast track fossil fuel projects, does great harm to bedrock environmental protections and curtails the public‘s ability to have input, basically throwing marginalized communities disproportionately burdened by fossil fuel pollution under the bus.”
80 For Brady will be released in the UK on 24 March 2023. U.S. audiences can watch it sooner when it’s released on 3 February 2023.
