Netflix Fans Hooked On ‘Mind-Blowing’ Thriller Series The Capture

Netflix viewers are praising a ‘mind-blowing’ series they’re bingeing in just a single night.

The crime thriller, which originally aired on BBC One, is gaining significant traction on the streaming platform and has left audiences wanting more.

“Stunningly good – and frighteningly plausible,” one fan enthuses.

Another adds: “Brilliantly done and highly entertaining. One of the most thrilling and memorable AND relevant shows ever.”

A third pens: “Mind-blowing series that challenges your visual perception.”

“One of the best British crime dramas I’ve ever watched,” somebody else declares.

There have been similar raves from critics, too.

The Hollywood Reporter says the show is ‘the most thoughtful of Peacock’s international dramas,’ while Stylist has named it one of ‘the best British crime dramas to binge-watch.’

Created, written, and executive produced by BAFTA-winning Ben Chanan, the crime thriller’s first season introduces viewers to DCI Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger), who is assigned to investigate Shaun Emery (Callum Turner), a young soldier accused of a violent crime.

The case hinges on a video recording that seems to provide irrefutable evidence – until questions arise about its authenticity.

Season two shifts focus to rising political figure Isaac Turner (Paapa Essiedu), whose career faces a crisis when a deepfake video surfaces, causing turmoil within the government.

As Carey continues to uncover hidden truths, she navigates a world where digital deception has dangerous consequences.

Amid widespread discussion about The Capture, the BBC has officially confirmed a third season.

Speaking of season three, Chanan said: “I am delighted to join up with Holliday Grainger, Lia Williams, Ben Miles, Ron Perlman, and all our brilliant cast on The Capture again, and to welcome the fantastic Killian Scott to the fold.

“Previous seasons have seen Holliday’s Rachel Carey investigate others as their lives fall apart.

“Most of all, I am excited that series three puts Carey at the heart of the conspiracy.”

Grainger added: “I’m thrilled to be joining The Capture team once more for series three. Ben Chanan’s scripts are as electrifying as ever, and I’m excited to be stepping back into ‘Commander’ Rachel Carey’s world. (Spoiler alert!)”
