Julian McMahon’s Cause Of Death Confirmed

Julian McMahon’s cause of death has been confirmed, after the actor passed away aged 56 earlier this week.

The heartbreaking news was revealed by the Australian actor’s wife, Kelly Paniagua, who made the announcement on Wednesday, July 2.

Tributes to the actor, who famously starred in CharmedNip/Tuck, and Fantastic Four, poured in from friends and co-stars alike.

Rose McGowan, his Charmed co‑star, wrote on social media: “Oh Julian you force of brilliance, wild talent and humor. For you, your family and loving fans all over the world, I pray comfort.”

Holly Marie Combs, who also starred alongside him in the series, said: “One of a kind is an understatement. Your zest for life and crazy sense of humor will be sorely missed.”

Before his wildly successful acting career, McMahon started out in the modelling industry.

His first notable screen role was as Ben Lucini in Home and Away, but swiftly moved over to American television.

Actress Alyssa Milano, who played McMahon’s on-screen husband during his role as Cole Turner in Charmed, also released a heartfelt statement.

Taking to social media, she said: “I’m heartbroken.

“That smile. That laugh. That talent. He walked into a room and lit it up – not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding.

“We spent years together on Charmed – years of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments.

“Julian was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable – but always with love.

“Losing him feels unreal. Too soon. Too unfair.”

Officially announcing his passing on Wednesday, wife Kelly said: “With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week.

“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans.

“His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy.

“And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”

McMahon’s cause of death has also now been confirmed by his wife, who noted that he had privately been battling with cancer.

He had suffered from lung metastasis as a result of head and neck metastatic cancer, in the lead up to his death.

However, the manner of his death was ruled as natural, and his body has since been cremated.

He leaves behind him his 25-year-old daughter Madison, who he shared with his former wife and American model, Brooke Burns.

The pair were married between 1999 and 2001, before McMahon married Kelly in 2014.

The actor was born in Sydney to former Australian Prime Minister Sir William ‘Billy’ McMahon.
