Singer Jessie J has shared an honest health update – featuring a trigger warning – with her 14 million Instagram followers after undergoing cancer surgery.
The ‘Price Tag’ singer, a proud mother to two-year-old son, Sky, shocked her fans earlier this month when she revealed she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer.
At the time, the 37-year-old said in a video that she’d been ‘in and out of tests,’ saying: “Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early.’”
She also joked: “It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job.”
Responding to the post, fellow pop star Rita Ora, 34, told Jessie: “You’re literally my favorite person and I’m praying for you, you’ve got this.”

Jessie – also known for the hit ‘Do It Like A Dude’ – said she would be undergoing surgery after she performed at Capital’s Summertime Ball festival.
And now, in a new Instagram post about her health, she reveals she has had the operation, while sharing a slew of images and clips taken in the hospital.
Issuing a ‘blood warning’ to her followers, Jessie, whose partner is basketball player, Chanan Colman, writes: “This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.
“I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through.
“Grateful to my doctor/surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family/friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results.”
She adds: “Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now.
“We all got this!”
The images include a selfie of Jessie smiling in a hospital bed, marks drawn on her chest by medics, and a cheeky picture of Sky sticking his tongue out.
The videos are just as heartwarming, with one showing Colman gently kissing Jessie’s head and cheek, while clasping her hand, as she lies in a hospital gown.

In another clip, Jessie – singing into the camera while her partner sits nearby – reveals she’s been at the hospital for six and a half hours, awaiting her turn in theatre.
And in a third, particularly emotional, clip, the recovering singer groggily tells Colman: “I was imagining Sky saying, ‘Love you, mummy,’ and I was saying, ‘I love you, I love you,’ back.”
She adds that she’s feeling ‘so sore.’
Jessie – who jokes in another clip about the blood draining from her breasts being like a ‘goji berry smoothie’ – has been met with an outpouring of support after sharing the update.
JLS star Marvin Humes wrote: “Ah Jess wow… these posts. I know Sky will be keeping you smiling and giving you strength… big love… you’re an absolute warrior,” while TV host Gaby Roslin said: “Sending you strength, energy and so much love, you beautiful soul.”

Jessie has been open about her health problems over the years.
She previously shared that she was diagnosed with a heart condition as a child.
She had a stroke as a teenager, and went deaf for a time in 2020 due to Meniere’s disease.
The London-born singer was also diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) last year.
