Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia Laughs Off Zach Bryan’s Latest Antagonizing Move
Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is brushing off her ex Zach Bryan’s latest attempt to drag her into their ongoing feud. Earlier this week, the country star shared — and quickly deleted — screenshots of old text messages between the former couple, a move that sparked another wave of online drama.
The messages included one of LaPaglia’s post-breakup texts, written after Bryan allegedly “fled the state” instead of going to rehab. She had written him a heartfelt note that she now describes as proof of how much she cared for him at the time, despite what she claims was “awful s–t” he sent her in return. Another screenshot showed her weighing out NDA options offered by his team, an offer she ultimately turned down.
Speaking on her BFFs podcast this week, LaPaglia admitted she initially feared Bryan had gone as far as leaking private photos. Instead, when she saw the texts, she could only laugh. “He… honestly, verified everything that I’ve said,” she told listeners. “That’s really all it proves. It’s really sad.”
She also rejected any suggestion that she had tried to extort him, pointing out the obvious flaw in that logic. “If I was extorting you, I would have taken the money I was extorting you for,” she said, noting again that she refused to sign the NDA.
LaPaglia described Bryan’s behavior as an attempt to “antagonize” her, comparing his recent digs to things he allegedly said during their relationship. “He used to tell me I wasn’t sweet when I stood up for myself,” she explained, adding that his comments online now feel like an extension of that same tactic. While she admitted she regretted her own reaction earlier this week, when she threatened to release footage of his alleged emotional abuse, she says she now realizes that was “falling into the trap.”
Even so, she can’t help but laugh at how much effort Bryan still seems to put into needling her, from his “not sweet” comment on TikTok to allegedly re-following her aunt on Instagram while her family was on vacation. “I’m kind of just laughing at it right now because, holy s–t, I would have still been dealing with that,” she said. “Nothing has changed. Like, nothing f–king changed. Honestly, it makes me giggle. I’m so over it.”
In the middle of recording the podcast, LaPaglia received a surprise FaceTime call from Bryan’s ex-wife, Rose Madden, who has become a source of support for her. “Through all of it, if I didn’t get to talk to Rose or have Rose for this, I think I would go f–king crazy,” she admitted. “She helped me so much in the beginning and even right now. She rocks.”
Bryan, who has not publicly addressed LaPaglia’s abuse allegations since their split in 2024, has yet to comment on the latest fallout. His team declined to respond to requests for comment.
For LaPaglia, though, the drama has lost its sting. “Nothing has changed,” she repeated with a laugh. “Honestly, it makes me giggle. I’m so over it.”
