Taylor Swift might have missed the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent preseason game, but fans won’t have to wait long to see her back in the stands.
The 35-year-old pop icon, who has become something of a good luck charm for the Chiefs, is expected to return to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in a major matchup next month. According to Sports Rush, Swift is planning to attend the highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and her home-state team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
A Lucky Presence at Arrowhead
Since she began attending games, Swift has been present for 19 of the team’s 23 victories, both home and away, making her a welcome sight for Chiefs Kingdom.
During the 2023/24 NFL season, she attended nearly every game, but her schedule became more selective last year as she wrapped her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Now, with the tour behind her, she has more freedom to show up on game day and could potentially appear at all 17 regular-season games this year.
Why This Game Is Different
The September 14 game at Arrowhead Stadium isn’t just another date on the calendar. It pits Jalen Hurts against Patrick Mahomes in a high-stakes rematch of the Chiefs’ crushing 40–22 Super Bowl loss to the Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans earlier this year.
Mahomes, who struggled under the Eagles’ relentless defensive pressure during that championship game, will be aiming for redemption. And having Swift in the stands for this showdown against her native Pennsylvanian team adds an intriguing layer to the storyline.
Keeping Fans Guessing
While Swift skipped the Chiefs’ preseason loss to the Arizona Cardinals, a low-stakes game Kelce sat out to avoid injury, her attendance for the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers remains uncertain. Fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation closer to game day.
Swift is almost certain to attend every home game at Arrowhead, just as she did last season when she attended nine of the ten home games, including two playoff contests.
With the NFL season about to heat up, Swift’s next appearance could be one of the most talked-about moments of the year, both on and off the field.
