Lisa Niemi, the wife of the late actor Patrick Swayze, recently revealed his final words before he fell into a coma. The couple, together for 34 years, shared a remarkable bond despite the ups and downs of Swayze’s life and career.
Their story began when Niemi, just 14 at the time, first spotted Swayze at the Houston Music Theater. Their paths crossed again when their theatrical groups merged, and Swayze made a playful advance, despite his reputation as a ladies’ man. Niemi, however, playfully shrugged off his flirtation.
In her book, “Worth Fighting For Love, Loss, and Moving Forward,” Niemi reminisces about their early interactions, shedding light on the moments that forged their enduring love story.
This heartfelt revelation offers a glimpse into the depth of their love and the profound connection they shared throughout their enduring relationship. And then, in his final moments, Swayze whispered, “‘I love you,’ and those were his last words to me. After I brought him home, things went very fast.” Swayze slipped into a coma shortly after speaking these words and did not recover.
