The divorce between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has been finalized, and the rapper has agreed to pay child support in the amount of $200,000 per month…

Yahoo Entertainment has learned that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have finally reached a settlement regarding their divorce. After being apart for just under two years, the former partners were able to settle their differences on child custody and property rights.

People and TMZ report that both celebrities will get “equal access” to their four children: North, who is nine years old; Saint, who will turn seven next month; Chicago, who is four; and Psalm, who is three. There was a prenuptial agreement in place between Kardashian and West, who subsequently changed his name to Ye after going through the legal process. Neither party will get spousal support; nevertheless, Ye will be responsible for paying child support in the amount of $200,000 a month to his ex-wife. In addition to that, he is going to be accountable for paying fifty percent of the costs associated with the children’s safety and education.

He has publicly criticized Kardashian’s parenting, pointing out, for example, that she does not bring their children to Ye’s now-defunct school, Donda Academy. According to reports, the settlement mandates that both Ye and the reality star will be required to attend mediation sessions in the event that they ever find themselves at odds with one another regarding the children. If either of them does not show up, the other is given the authority to make the choice.

Although Kardashian and Ye’s divorce took a long time to finalize, this was not due to her lack of effort in the matter. The rapper cycled through several different attorneys and failed to show up for his depositions. Following Kardashian’s filing for divorce in February 2021, he made several unsuccessful attempts to woo her back. During the time that they were working through the divorce settlement, Kardashian made a request to the court that she be declared legally single. The Grammy winner rejected this request. The star of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” asserted that Ye was the source of “mental suffering” because he had spread “misinformation regarding our private family concerns and co-parenting on social media.” Nine months ago, a judge agreed with her and approved her request.

2012 marked the beginning of Kardashian and Ye’s relationship, and the couple wed in 2014. Throughout the course of their relationship, they faced several challenges, such as the rapper’s hospitalization in 2016 and her being robbed when she was in Paris. The greatest difficulty for their marriage came in 2020 when he was running unsuccessfully for president and divulged highly private information about their family. This caused him to lose the election. In a statement that is extremely rare for her, Kardashian acknowledged her husband’s bipolar disease and called for “compassion.” After waiting another seven months, she finally filed for divorce.

There have been sightings of Kim Kardashian and Ye together at parenting gatherings over the past several months; however, it is unknown how friendly the two are in light of the rapper’s behavior that has been making headlines. Following his antisemitic comments, a number of corporations, including Adidas, terminated their relationship with Ye. Recently, the rapper shared a meal with the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, as well as Trump’s new friend, the white supremacist Nick Fuentes. Milo Yiannopoulos, a prominent member of the alt-right, has agreed to direct his presidential campaign for the year 2024.
