The 67-year-old ex-host of a daytime talk program has recently gone through a lot. Her husband, Frank Gifford, died away five years ago. The couple’s intricate and protracted love story ended after 29 years of marriage.
Fortunately, Kathie comes from a family that is extremely accepting, and her close relationships with Cassidy and Cody helped her get well. Even though she says she isn’t “actively looking” for love, Kathie just admitted that she has started dating again.
According to a source close to her, she is always thinking about gratitude.
She claims that despite the fact that she is healthy, her kids are doing well, and she really loves her life, she misses Frank horribly every day.
She understands the importance of family and thinks all parents should try to maintain strong ties with their adult children. Cassidy Gifford and Cody Gifford are two of Kathie’s children, and she constantly shows her pride in them.
It was undoubtedly an emotional moment when Cody and Cassidy made an appearance on Kathie Lee Gifford’s farewell broadcast of Today in 2019. The siblings had sent their mum a heartfelt letter via a homemade video.
The most important life lesson I have ever learned from my mother is that if you have a pulse, you have a purpose, Cassidy sweetly added.
Kathie Lee and Frank Gifford began dating in the middle of the 1980s. They eventually got married in 1986. Frank, a renowned American football player and TV sports broadcaster, was 23 years her senior.
She said, “It was love at first sight when I met Frank Gifford (and his buns).”
Frank made a proposal in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The gorgeous wedding was place on a beach in Bridgehampton, New York.
The couple is the parents of two children. Cody made his debut on March 22, 1990. Frank already has three kids from a previous marriage.
But two years after Cody was born, Kathie and Frank experienced tragedy. Kathie was inconsolable after having a miscarriage.
The mother adds, “Frank and I were expecting for our second kid to come this autumn or this spring.” I really wanted to educate everyone personally, Kathie remarked in an episode of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee in August 1992.
The reason Kathie and Frank were so excited to have their second child in 1993, a year after the sad loss, should now be apparent. Cassidy, Kathie’s daughter, was born on August 2nd, 1993.
Cody was raised by imitating his parents. With his well-known parents, he attended TV program premieres and red carpet occasions.
So, it was predicted that Cody would choose to pursue a career in acting and television.
In the 2000 Disney Channel original movie Model Behavior, which featured Justin Timberlake, Cody and his mother had a joint part.
The Gifford Media Group was founded by Cody after he received his undergraduate degree. To larger companies like Warner Bros. and the Hallmark Channel, this department produces and distributes content.
Cody met the love of his life, Erika Brown, in college, and they have been together ever since.
Cody and Erika’s engagement was made public by Kathie Lee on Mother’s Day in 2019.

In September 2020, despite the coronavirus epidemic, Cody married Erika, his lifelong love.
The second child of Kathie and Frank, Cassidy Gifford, was born on August 2, 1993, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Much like her parents and older brother, Cassidy would want to make a name for herself in Hollywood. She did, however, originally enroll at the University of Southern California, similar to Cody.
Cassidy has experience acting and modeling. She was immediately noticed for her good looks. Five years ago, she was included in the list of “18 Beautiful Women America Won’t Be Able to Resist This Summer.”
As mentioned earlier, the Gifford family had a major year in 2020 as a result of Cody and Erika’s marriage.
The wedding bells rang on other occasions as well, however. In June 2020, Cassidy married her true love, Ben Wierda. The couple wed in a tiny ceremony in Michigan.
“So thrilled to report that my darling daughter, @cassidygiff, is engaged to a terrific guy, Ben @letsgetwierda,” Kathie Lee said in a post at the time. I am beyond the moon and the stars. To the LORD be the glory.
As Kathie Lee disclosed last year, Cassidy and Ben had been friends since they were both 11 years old. According to his LinkedIn page, Ben works as a project manager at Clarion Technologies, Inc.
It was always you, she said in November 2019, along with a sweet image of Ben.
In addition to looking like her mother, Cassidy sometimes mimics Kathie’s looks. She updated her Instagram account with a funny picture in April when she was sequestered.
Cassidy posed while wearing a black shirt, big sunglasses, and a big straw hat.
“Quarantine is turning me become my mum,” Cassidy wrote.
The reality is that Cassidy remarkably resembles her mother, both physically and socially, despite the fact that many people laughed when they saw her picture and comment.
