During series one, fans of the show saw Emily’s career take off when her social media post was shared by Brigitte.
The episode sees the marketing executive as she struggles to fit in at the company while working on a campaign for Vaga-Jeune.
Upon discovering that the French word for vagina, le vagin, is masculine, Emily shares her disappointment online, with the post eventually being reposted by the first lady.
Italian-French singer Carla Bruni had forwarded the meme to Brigitte, with the first lady then sharing the post to her own feed, although we only see the back of her head.
The attention later sends Emily’s office into a frenzy and helps secure her position within the office.
Brigitte’s appearance on set comes after Lily revealed she was a huge fan of the show.
During an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in December 2022, Lily explained that whilst she hadn’t met the president himself, she had met his wife.
When asked if she had met Emmanuel Macron, Lily said she hadn’t but his wife was a fan of the Netflix hit.

Production on the popular Netflix romantic comedy which features tons of enviable fashions began in January, one year after its season three finale ended on a huge cliffhanger.
The streamer has yet to announce when season four will be released, but Lily gave a few hints about what will happen in a teaser released on YouTube.
‘It’s safe to say we ended on a dramatic note last season,’ she said referring to the cliffhanger ending in which Lucas Bravo’s Gabriel was left at the alter by Camille Razat’s Camille, only to discover Gabriel will soon become a dad.
Emily and Gabriel have been locked in a ‘will they or won’t they’ tug of war since season one.
The star gave a few hints at what the future holds for the American marketing executive living in Paris.
‘We have more fun, more fashion, and of course, more drama in store for you all,’ she said.
‘Emily is gonna have to decide if everything she’s ever wanted is really what she needs.’
‘And while Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris,’ she explained, ‘her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman Holiday.’
