John Amos turns 83… He put his cane down to dance with his daughter just weeks before her birthday…

John Amos, who is best known for his role as James Evans Sr. on the television series “Good Times” broadcast by CBS, celebrates his 83rd birthday on December 27th, 2022. In addition to the fact that it was his birthday, the actor had a lot of reasons to rejoice, including the affection that he got from his children.

According to the information that can be found on John’s IMDb page, he shared paternity with three separate women throughout the course of his life, which resulted in a total of six children. In each of her claimed relationships, the celebrity gave birth to two children.

K.C. and J.D., are two of the children. His admirers were familiar with Amos and Shannon Amos, his wife, and daughter. According to the news, the actor’s children had a lot of affection for his dad, and his son and daughter paid tribute to him by publishing messages on social media to mark the occasion of his passing.

In addition to that, the siblings often posted on social media about memorable times spent with their father. One of these posts was made by Shannon, and in it, she and John discussed an experience that none of their audience members would ever forget.

In October of 2022, just a few weeks before John’s birthday, Shannon posted a video on Instagram that would continue to be seen for a very long time after her father had passed away. At the beginning of the video, Shannon approaches the actor and inquires about the possibility of dancing with him.

After that, the two went outdoors, where the star’s daughter assisted her father in descending a few steps with the assistance of a cane. The way in which she balanced him and the way in which he leaned on the walking stick demonstrated how age was catching up with the great actor.

On the other hand, out of love for his daughter, he put the cane aside so that they may leisurely dance together. John and Shannon danced to “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross as he kissed her on the forehead. After the dance, they hugged one other, and John’s daughter later wrote:

“I’m thankful to have this fleeting time with my dad,” she said.

To “create a priceless moment,” as Shannon put it, she was taking part in the Dance With Your Father Challenge, and she encouraged others to do the same. As the two walked gently together, the scene was quite endearing to see.

As can be seen in a video post that John made on Instagram in July of 2021, he did not just hang out with Shannon but also with K.C. The video that was uploaded by KC shows the actor dancing without his cane as he is with his kid at the #SpreadTheCheerUSA gala that took place in Denver.

The celebrity seemed content in November 2022, just as he did when he was encircled by his children, when he was sitting outdoors with his kid who looked like him, and when they were singing along to Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now.” He disclosed that he and K.C. were enjoying themselves while “kickin’ it” during the holidays.

They (Noel Jean Mickelson, John Amos, and Shannon Amos) were confronted by a White guy armed with a shotgun at a petrol station in Arizona…

On June 16, 2020, Shannon published a stunning flashback picture on Instagram of her father and mother, Noel Jean Mickelson. The snapshot included both of their smiling faces. Interracial marriage was outlawed in 16 states when the celebrity’s daughter’s parents tied the knot in 1965, and she pointed out that fact to the media.

Shannon related the story of how her parents met and fell in love at Colorado State University, where Shannon’s father was a student. John was from the city proper of Newark, New Jersey, while his wife was from a rural community in the middle of the United States called Estherville, Iowa.

The duo fell in love at first sight, despite the challenging conditions that prevailed in the United States at the time. The explanation was given by K.C.’s sister, “When I was little, I had no idea that my parents were of different races. I never thought of them as anything other than my parents and the two people who loved me the most.”

On the other hand, everything changed for her when she was five years old she went on a cross-country journey with her parents and was exposed to a traumatic event during that time. A White guy confronted them at a petrol station in Arizona, brandished a shotgun, and made racial obscenities while demanding that the family leave the service station immediately.

The marriage between Mickelson and John lasted for eleven years until the couple decided to divorce. Despite this, the actor maintained a strong relationship with his children, all of whom admired and respected him. I hope the legendary actor has a wonderful 83rd birthday!
