Animals differ from humans in many ways. The kingdom of animals, most of the time, is considered to be fascinating and adorable. Most of them love humans, but some of them don’t. Despite everything, it’s very pleasing for us to look at them and how they react to different environmental fluctuations. The behavior of those creatures sometimes seems mysterious, but most of the time, it looks enjoyable.
As the insight of animals is way different from our perception, there is a big difference in the way animals and humans respond or react to various stimuli that they receive from the environment.
As we all know, nature has equipped animals with all the skills essential for survival and the knowledge of identifying and responding to the fluctuations in the environment. But the thing is, most of the time, animals are aware and prepared to face natural circumstances; they aren’t aware of the manufactured occurrences that they might encounter in their day-to-day lives.
Due to that particular reason, some human activities confuse those creatures as they cannot figure out what they should do next. The incidents we are going to refer to are something similar, which took place recently. Let’s find out what that is.
Recently a video was uploaded to YouTube having footage of a Hawk attacking an ornamental duck trying to fetch it. The real story behind this incident was that as the Hawk was flying in the neighborhood looking out for something to feed on, it suddenly noticed a tiny duckling standing in the middle of a garden. It was like a meal on a silver plate to the Hawk.
After observing well, the Hawk went straight to the Duck and delivered his first blow, but surprisingly the Duck displayed no motion. Being confused by stumbling upon this ornamental Duck, the Hawk continued attacking.
After two minutes of occasional pacing, movement, and attack, the Hawk finally decided to give up and flew away. I think, after all, it realized that there was nothing edible in this plastic duck. This two-minute video of the Hawk was viral on the internet, and it had millions of views and around 20,000 likes.
Surprisingly this isn’t the first time a confused Hawk of this kind was uploaded to the internet. Once, Steve Grimme uploaded a video of a Hawk confused by a plastic ornamental rabbit to a real one.
While Steve was doing some gardening in his house, he saw a large bird heading towards his home. Steve took no time in realizing that it was a Hawk. First, it landed on the rain gutter of Steve’s roof. After that, it flew to one of his neighboring houses, which had an ornamental plastic bunny in their garden.
After lending much effort in capturing this little bunny, the Hawk realized that the bunny was not real.
What Steve finally uttered regarding this incident was that “It seemed to me when it was finally convinced this rabbit wasn’t going to run, it turned and looked around a bit. I imagined it was saying ‘gee, I hope none of those other hawks saw me do that or I’ll be the brunt of a lot of jokes later!!!’”
