Some say it’s a cat and others say it’s a dog. Who’s right, who’s wrong, no one knows. Different people look at things differently. Therefore, we can’t say precisely if it’s a cat or a dog.
People differ in attitude, beliefs, perceptions, answers, and a lot more. While you think,’ he looks innocent’ looking at a guy, another person looking at the same guy will have a different opinion. Yes, it’s always different.
Have you ever eaten Marmite? Now, those who love it would immediately imagine its taste, while those who hate it will think of throwing up.
It’s lovely. Even scientists can’t fully understand the human brain; it’s different from person to person.
But sometimes, our brain starts confusing us, making us question ourselves.
Thanks to the internet, we get to understand some confusing things like photographs with confusing colour schemes.
Sometimes these confusions make people angry because they can’t figure out exactly what it is. It triggers debates among people, fighting for their opinion. Sometimes people debate about simple things like colours.
Did this remind you of something?
Who could perhaps forget one of the biggest commotions of the year 2015?
Can you remember that dress, which confused many people back in the day?
The confusion was about its colours. Is it blue and black or white and gold?
What colour did you think it was? And will you stick to your past opinion or change it now?
Is your opinion different from the opinion of the majority?
It turns out that the question cannot be answered.
A fascinating photo of a cloud formation was blasted like a nuclear bomb on the internet a few years ago.
The confusion was, ‘Is it a cat or a dog?’ therefore, the cat lovers and the dog lovers on social media started debating about it.
This is a difficult one. The photograph of this fascinating cloud formation was captured by the Reddit user ‘jhvk’ a few years back.
He posted this snap on his social media with the caption, “This cloud looks like a dog and a cat.”
Next, Reddit user ‘lemon-army’ commented on the post, ” This will soon make a heavy rain of cats and dogs.”
And within a few hours, the post started overflowing with personal opinions of Reddit users about the photo.
One comment was highlighted because it explained how people looked at the image in different ways.
A now-deleted Reddit account commented:
“Human brain is complex. We always imagine something when we see a shape and try to give meaning to them. It’s a pretty common thing. There’s a scientific word for it, which I don’t remember.
Edit: It’s called Pareidolia.
We do this in our day-to-day life without even knowing it.
It’s just an incredible thing that our brain does and isn’t rare.”
For a better understanding, let’s refer to Wikipedia. According to it, Pareidolia is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one sees an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none.
Is this cloud formation confusing? Yes, it is. It was so confusing that the debate ended without a proper conclusion. Not only this, there are many such cloud formations, confusing us even today.
The snap uploaded by Reddit user jaehnig70 of a ‘cat chasing a dog in the clouds’ is one of them.
Do you see it as I do? or do you see something else?
Giving meanings to cloud formations is hard because we can imagine many things looking at a particular shape. In the following image, what do you see uploaded to Twitter by @LiaErdbeer?

This snap is the type of pics that we call ” when you see it once, it’s impossible to unsee it”. It’s just mind-blowing.
Did you see it? It’s so cute.
Maybe you saw something different from what I did, but it doesn’t matter, because it’s your opinion.
Just don’t criticize the opinions of others, thinking that the only person right is you.
Let it be a cat or a dog. Enjoy it and play with your brain, confusing yourself a little bit.
