Timothée Chalamet is staying true to character.
The “Wonka” star — who portrays chocolate factory founder Willy Wonka in the prequel movie — stepped out Tuesday in London for the film’s premiere wearing a berry-colored, head-to-toe velvet suit by Tom Ford.
The show-stopping ensemble is part of the label’s spring/summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection for women, and modeled on the runway by a female model who paired the fitted blazer with matching shorts.
But Chalamet, 27, opted for ankle-length slacks and completed his look with dark brown leather boots and a chunky silver chain necklace.
Letting the flashy getup do all the talking, the actor fashionably omitted any kind of shirt underneath, letting a swath of skin hang out in the sub-40-degree temperature.

The boyfriend of reality star-turned-beauty mogul Kylie Jenner sported his signature curly locks, which perfectly framed his chiseled face, as he posed for photographers on the red carpet outside the Royal Festival Hall.
“I’m very excited! I’m very grateful for everyone that came out tonight to [see] the movie. It is exceptional,” he told inquiring reporters.
“It’s a nice, chilly night. I don’t know what the hell I was doing wearing this!” he added with a laugh, going on to take selfies with fans.

“Tim communicates with fans. It’s always nice to watch this,” one Twitter user gushed alongside a video showing the Oscar nominee chatting with swarms of attendees.
This isn’t the first time Chalamet has used style to pay homage to his beloved character, as he showed up to the Tokyo premiere last week in a lavender patent leather Prada jacket tucked into a pair of matching trousers.
With the film hitting theaters Dec. 15, we can’t wait to see what else Chalamet has up his purple velvet sleeves.
