The Bryan family has been through a lot of bad things.
If country music star Luke Bryan isn’t on stage singing his heart out, he’s probably at one of his two homes.
Bryan owns a beach house in Florida, but he and his wife Caroline raise their two sons and his sister’s three children, whom they took in after she and her husband died, on their farm in Tennessee.
The 150-acre farm is called Red Bird Farm, after his sister Kelly’s love for red birds.
Chris, Bryan’s brother, died in a car accident when he was 19 years old, and Kelly died suddenly in 2017.
She was at home with her young son when she died for reasons that neither autopsies nor the coroner could figure out.
Ben Lee Cheshire, her husband, had custody of their three children, Jordan, Kris, and Til, who are now in their 20s. Cheshire died in 2014.
The Bryans took in two nieces and a nephew at that time.
“We didn’t give it a second thought. He and I never had to sit down and talk about, “Should we take this on?” Caroline told Country Living, “We did it right away.”
Caroline’s family had a terrible loss when her 7-month-old niece Sadie Brett died of a heart condition.
Luke said, “I’ve seen my family go through ups and downs where we get mad at God and mad about why this is happening.” “Well, you keep going and try to be as positive as you can, and you try to appreciate every day.
On the Bryan farm, a field of bright flowers and a party barn were built in her honor.
Luke said, “You have to honor their memory by living, and you have to be a good example for other people.” “If you live long enough, life will take a little bit out of you.”
Red Bird Farm has a main house that is 10,000 square feet, a guest house that is 1,800 square feet, and a party barn that is 7,000 square feet.
The guest house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, media room, front porch, screened-in porch, and is close to a catfish pond.
A white pony named Kilo, a goat named Goober Goldsby, mini horses, pigs, and a donkey are all rescue animals that live in the barn.
So, there are a lot of people living in the Bryan home.
And it’s important to the Bryan family to have family close by and remember those who are no longer with them.
Luke said about his 2014 CMA Entertainer of the Year award, “It definitely makes it more special when we’re all together and we know that people are smiling down and they’re, they’re with us, celebrating these amazing moments.”
