“You’re doing everything right now” – Simon couldn’t resist this adorable little girl’s performance…

A young child with a strong voice completely stunned Cowell with her incredible potential in a season 13 show. Although the young girl in pink certainly had a charming appearance, sweetness was not her only strength. In this amazing video from 2018 that went viral, the young girl, Sophie Fatu, astounded all four “America’s Got Talent” judges and left the audience gasping in amazement.

Even Cowell seemed impressed when Sophie hit the stage. The talent judge, whose catchphrase is “I don’t intend to be unpleasant, but…” (which is also the title of his book, by the way), has frequently served on the jury. Cowell has never hesitated to offer his most brutally honest criticism for auditions that don’t go so well. Some of his most scathing statements are as follows: “You have the same chance of becoming a rock or pop sensation as I do of taking off for the moon for breakfast tomorrow. It’s never going to happen,” and “You would win today if the judging or voting criterion here were to pass individuals by for managing to sing every note out of tune.”

Little Sophie was able to charm Cowell with both her tremendous talent and her sweet beauty despite his stern exterior. She may look just like another pretty face, but the young girl packed some significant voice skills behind that sweet smile. In actuality, Sophie has performed on stage before “America’s Got Talent.”

Sophie has had appearances on NBC’s “Little Big Shots” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where she played a cover of Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon.” Sophie has been called “one of the youngest jazz recording artists” in history. Naturally, her next target was “America’s Got Talent.” Everyone melted at Sophie’s endearing speaking voice as soon as she stooped onto the stage in her pink costume and greeted the judges and audience. Not a single person in the room anticipated how adorable Sophie would be, not even Cowell, a notoriously strict judge, who started laughing as she arrived. But those anticipations were altered as Sophie started to sing.

The young girl sang a stirring cover of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” at the beginning of the film, raising her hands as she sang and giving the impression of being much older. It’s surprising that Sophie chose the song in the first place given the song’s abundance of lengthy sustained notes and powerful belting passages. While the judges watched with their jaws gaping in awe of what they were seeing, the audience erupted in applause. Like a master, Sophie kept her notes in tune and carried herself like an opera singer. Nobody imagined a young woman of her age could accomplish such a remarkable feat! It sounded like her voice was much older than she is! In the end, Sophie had the unanimous support of the four judges and advanced to round two. When they both walked backstage, her mother, Victoria Fatu, a Grammy-winning musician with a sizable following on her own YouTube channel, looked as proud as any parent could.

Since her audition on “America’s Got Talent,” 10-year-old Sophie has only grown stronger. On her YouTube channel, which highlights her and family members including her sister and brother as they go about their daily life, she has amassed more than 444,000 subscribers. Additionally, she has more than 104,000 Instagram followers. The gifted youngster has dabbled with acting, appearing in bit roles on programs including “Will & Grace,” “Goliath,” and “Hacks.” Her debut EP, titled “Love Is…” is available for purchase and is characterized as a “passionate homage to the vocal legends who influenced her early career and a love letter to her admirers” on her website. Given everything she has accomplished thus far at the youthful age of 10, we are confident Sophie will go even further in the future.
