He’s one proud papa — as he should be!
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Lance Bass reveals that his two-year-old twins — Alexander and Violet, whom he shares with his husband Michael Turchin — are already almost out of diapers.
“They’re such good kids,” he says. “They just turned two on Oct. 13th, so we’re going through it. But they’ve been great. I could joke about having to change all those diapers, but they’re already almost fully potty-trained.”
“[Michael] and I just wanted to see if we could get it done early, and they took to it. So apparently I have brilliant babies,” Bass, 44, adds.

The former *NSYNC star says he’s also taken to parenthood as easily as his kids have taken to potty training.
“It’s incredible,” Bass says of fatherhood. “It’s like you don’t really understand how magical it is until you have the kid, and it’s amazing. They’ve just been so good to us, and so we were very lucky.”

Of course, Bass adds that with parenthood comes plenty of worry.
“We’ve been toddler-proofed since they got here,” he says with a laugh. “But especially my son, he gets into everything, and that scares the crap out of me because he always goes for the electric socket. He’s always trying to pull those plastic things off of them.”
“Though, I’ve noticed that I worry a little less because I feel like, okay, they’re bigger now. They understand things that are hot and sharp, so I can breathe a little bit. But then you’re like uh oh, now they can reach the oven knobs,” Bass adds.
Bass and Turchin, 36, recently teamed up with Smirnoff to encourage couples to not break up this holiday season — given that the brand says Dec. 11 is the most common date for couples to split.
“We want to encourage couples to actually get married and enjoy the holidays,” Bass says, adding that he has no secret himself as to what makes a happy marriage.
“There’s no secret,” he says of his relationship with Turchin, whom he’s been with since 2011. “Marriage and relationships evolve and you just have to go with it and keep checking in.”
He adds, “Therapy is also nice. But I think these kids really made our marriage even better, just really, it bonded us so much. And I always tell him now, ‘I don’t care what you think of me, you’re stuck with me for life.’ “
