Fans beg for ‘Home Alone 3’ after spoof trailer shows Kevin get revenge on the Wet Bandits

Fans have resorted to begging for a third Home Alone movie featuring the original cast after a recent spoof trailer went viral.

Now, we’ve all seen Home Alone, right? The iconic Christmas movie has become a staple this time of year and it seems as though a lot of us are ready for one more adventure with Kevin and his mischievous schemes.

Much to our dismay, there have been no rumors about a third movie in the works, though we might have had our little fix from YouTuber @VJ4rawr2, who recently made waves on social media after posting a trailer for a potential Home Alone 3 movie, titled Kevin’s Revenge.

The storyline follows Kevin when he’s older, and his arch enemies, the Wet Bandits, who are seeking to wreak havoc on him yet again after serving some time behind bars.

The trailer shows Kevin receiving a note from the duo reading: “We’re back little buddy.” The camera then pans to outside the house, where Kevin sees that fateful Oh-Kay Plumbing and Heating van.

“This holiday season, it’s time to rediscover a classic. Kevin McCallister is back – except this family is a little weird around Christmas,” the trailer’s voiceover begins.

It then shows an AI-generated form of Macaulay Culkin telling his mom from the original movie – played by Catherine O’Hara – about the impact of being left at home alone all those years before.

“That day you left, I had to defend our house. I was just a kid and you left me home alone,” he says.

“The drama,” O’Hara replies back.

Describing it as the “final showdown,” the rest of the trailer proceeds to show yet another confrontation between the Bandits and Kevin using weird and wacky booby traps, much like the original movies – however, these are just clips taken from other movies and banded together to tell this fictional storyline.

Of course, fans were impressed by the YouTuber’s work and took to the comments of the video to leave their opinions.

“I would LOVE to see them do a NEW Home Alone movie! Our family watches Home Alone 1 & 2 every Christmas season,” this user wrote.

“I don’t care if this is only a parody, I totally could see this being an actual movie,” another added.

A third also urged people to speak out about the potential of another film writing: “This parody is still pretty recent! If everybody shows enough high demand in the comments, we could convince them to make this a real movie! Legacy sequels are trending right now (hocus pocus 2, good burger 2, Mary Poppins returns, etc.) so this is DEFINITELY possible to make happen as a true Home Alone 2 sequel!”

“The fact that Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern were in this parody with Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O’Hara is way too teasing to us fans! C’mon HA cast… let’s make this on time for next Christmas!”, another YouTube user also added.

So far, there has been no talk of a revival, though given all the chat around this trailer, you never know what could happen in the future. We’re keeping everything crossed!
