Michael J. Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan are one of Hollywood’s most inspiring couples. They have been devotedly married for over thirty years, and they have supported one another through the highs and lows of their relationship, particularly Fox’s fight with Parkinson’s disease.
On their 35th wedding anniversary, the actor sent a touching homage to his loving wife.
The 62-year-old Back to the Future star has published a lot of images of himself and Tracy on social media throughout the years.
“35 years of laugher, living, listening, and loving you,” Fox captioned the photo. “Many thanks for your help. Mike, you have my deepest love.
“I adore you so much!” Pollan responded in the comments section. She also paid tribute to her hubby in an Instagram post:
“My love, congratulations on your anniversary.” Many more exciting adventures await you in the future. She stated, “I could not be more in love with you.”
In honor of Pollan’s birthday this month, Fox wrote a lovely birthday message that read, “She shows the people she loves the way she feels, she showers them with love.”
“My love, my best friend, my forever Summer girl, and the most stunning and incredible mother to our four wonderful children.” “I adore you a lot.”
In 1988, Fox and Pollan tied the knot. They first met on the set of Family Ties, where Pollan portrayed the girlfriend of Fox’s Alex P. Keaton. They reconnected and began dating on the set of Bright Lights, Big City.
On July 16, 1988, the pair married. Their four children are Sam, a male, Aquinnah and Schuyler, twin daughters, and Esmé, a daughter.
Fox’s life took a gloomy turn in 1991, just a few years after his marriage, when he discovered he had Parkinson’s disease.
In 2015, Fox said on The Late Show With David Letterman, “It was scary.” “It was the last thing I expected to hear when I was 29 years old.” I believed I had damaged my shoulder when executing some trick since my pinkie twitched. “You have Parkinson’s disease,” the doctor replied. “You still have ten years of labor ahead of you, which is good news,” he went on to say.
Fox refused to accept his sickness, but he credits his wife’s love and encouragement for getting him through the difficult days.
Fox noted in an interview with Today, “We didn’t know what to expect.” Tracy’s refusal to blink at that particular moment is one of the reasons I will always admire her.
They have regularly offered each other love and support for the past 35 years, and their relationship is still going strong.
According to Pollan, “I think we really listen to each other, and we are there for each other when we need each other.” “And then we give each other space when it’s needed.” Simply trying to be aware of the circumstance and what is required at the time.
“Tracy provides our family with all they require. “She is the source of everything good in our family and everything we achieve,” Fox added.
In addition to announcing his retirement from acting in 2021, Fox said that he was “not gonna be 80” and that his Parkinson’s disease struggle was “getting tougher,” but he was still “happy.”
Fox’s Michael J. Fox Foundation continues to sponsor research toward a cure or better therapies for Parkinson’s disease. The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation is the largest non-profit sponsor of Parkinson’s disease research, with over $1 billion in financing for research initiatives.
