American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson has shared her love for girlfriend, Holland Taylor, in a heartfelt tribute to honor her 81st birthday.
Paulson took to Instagram to share the video her phone had created using selfies and clips of herself and Taylor as the Two and A Half Men actor celebrated her birthday on Sunday (14 January).
The couple have been dating for almost a decade, with Taylor first revealing in 2015 that she was in a ‘deeply committed relationship’ with a woman quite a few years younger than her.
There are more than 30 years between Paulson, 49, and Taylor, with Taylor telling the Death, Sex & Money podcast at the time that their relationship was ‘the most wonderful, extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened’ to her.
Nine years on, Paulson made clear their relationship is as strong as ever as she described Taylor as her ‘one and only love’ in a caption to accompany the birthday video.
She wrote: “My phone made this. And I like it. Happy Birthday to my one and only love.”

Paulson went on to say Taylor was, ‘quite simply’, her ‘world’.
“I love you,” the actor continued, before tagging Taylor and joking: “(don’t be mad about the second to last picture, I didn’t know how to take it out, plus there are pictures of me with no eyebrows, so-).”
Paulson’s post has been flooded with adoring comments from fans of the pair, with one person writing: “We love your love.”
“Happy birthday, @hollandvtaylor,” the commenter continued. “Your life is a gift to us all. Blessings and bravery to you both!”
Paulson and Taylor first met at a party in 2005, but they were both in relationships at the time.
It wasn’t until 2015 that their romance actually began in a truly modern fashion – with a slide into the DMs.

In January 2019, Paulson appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and explained: “We sort of breezed by one another, and then started following each other on Twitter, and then …”
Billy Eichner, who was also a guest that evening, then cut in to ask: “Holland Taylor slid into your DMs?”
“She actually did,” Paulson responded. “Yeah, it’s pretty great.”
Paulson’s birthday post comes just a few weeks after she celebrated her own birthday, which fell at the same time as the Broadway debut of her show Appropriate.
Taylor celebrated both events in an Instagram post of her own, writing: “What a Birthday for my darling, the eve before today’s opening of #Appropriate- the play’s Broadway debut, and @mssarahcatharinepaulson‘s return after a busy ten year absence…
“What an incandescent, thrilling return, fiery and brave- in a brilliant theatre masterwork by Brandon Jacobs Jenkins… And yes, of COURSE I’m partial- But you know I’m right.”
