We all know that nothing is perfect, including our modern society. There are many troubling issues, but we don’t always act quickly to solve them.
Al Margen, an illustrator from Buenos Aires, Argentina, makes drawings that show the issues of our times. His dark drawings speak louder than words and make you think. Al Margen is hard on himself and talks about his work in a creative way: “They come from being bored, not fitting in, or being angry. They’re the leftover ideas of my mind. They’re the subconscious garbage. But they’re more real and honest than other sad drawings because they don’t have to be pleasing. They only come from an impulse, nothing more. They were made to be annoying and show the problems in our society.”
