After 44 years of marriage without children, a 66-year-old woman from India gave birth to triplets (two boys and a girl), possibly setting the record for the oldest woman to ever give birth to triplets.
Bts. Bhateri Devi, who had artificial insemination at the National Insemination Center in Hisar, Haryana, where she became pregnant, is receiving urgent care, according to the doctors. Her three babies, who were born weighing barely 1.2 kg, 1.1 kg, and 800 g, all had low birth weights.
According to the birth certificate provided by a government hospital in Rohtak district, Bhateri Devi was born on May 21, 1944, in Madina village of Rohtak, according to Dr. Anurag Bishnoi, who oversaw Mrs. Devi’s care.
Anurag Bishnoi, bts. After three unsuccessful efforts at artificial insemination, Bhateri Devi was eventually created. In the first two, there were only two embryos implanted every cycle. On the third attempt, though, three embryos were implanted, and the woman became pregnant.
The thrill of being a father at the age of over seventy brings unending joy to her husband, Deva Singh, 64. “Bhateri made my wish come true to start a family and leave an heir for my family. Bhateri was my first wife, and since she was unable to conceive, I married again, but this time without producing any offspring,” he claimed. “My children will live happy and prosperous lives in the future, and I am extremely delighted about that.
