It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of Maryanne Trump Barry, the older sister of former President Donald J. Trump. Maryanne was 86 years old at the time of her death.
Maryanne was discovered in her New York City apartment on November 13, according to sources. First responders were called to her 5th avenue apartment after receiving a call about a person in cardiac arrest.
During her career, Maryanne served as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She retired from this position in 2019, after many years of dedicated service. Maryanne was appointed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan in 1983, and later appointed to the Court of Appeals in 1999 by President Bill Clinton.
In recent years, Maryanne faced an investigation into alleged fraudulent tax and financial transactions involving her father and siblings. The investigation ultimately came to an inconclusive end, leading to Maryanne’s decision to retire.
While it is unclear what her relationship with her younger brother, Donald, was like at the time of her passing, it is worth noting that she was recorded by her niece, Mary, expressing her concerns about her brother’s lack of principles.
Maryanne’s passing marks the third sibling lost by Donald Trump. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Trump family during this difficult time.
