Legendary actresses Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field stunned in a recent group photo at the premiere of their latest movie 80 For Brady at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California last week.

For 85-year-old Fonda, the event comes after she revealed she was in remission following a battle with cancer and was able to stop chemotherapy, having undergone treatment for six months.

At the time, the actress wrote on Instagram: “Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo. I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate. I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way.

“I am confident that it played a role in the good news. I’m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything,” she added.

At the premiere, the group of actresses all mostly sported black, except for Moreno who wore an exquisite red shawl that was fastened with a brooch, and a stylish leopard print skirt.

80 For Brady is a comedy film focused on four best friends who embark on a wild trip to see Tom Brady – whom they are all obsessed with – play in the 2017 Super Bowl. The actresses also spoke about the flick while at the premiere, with Fonda stating that meeting Brady in the flesh made her “weak” at the knees.Per The Hollywood Reporter, Fonda said: “He was kind and humble, which is hard to believe considering how brilliant he is at what he does, but it’s true. He was also sweet and polite.

“My knees actually got weak when he walked into my trailer. I’m in awe of that kind of skill. When somebody is the best in the world at what they do, you have to honor that and respect it. I was just awestruck.”Tomlin agreed, adding: “Well, it was pretty fabulous. He’s a good actor. He’s very personable and unassuming […] Just looking at his face and his eyes and watching him listen to me as an actor trying to reciprocate in the same way. I felt like I was that [real-life] woman from Boston who was in her 80s. I felt, in fact, as though he was my son when I had to do this speech with him.”

Last year, Brady had praised the women for their roles in the movie – which is his debut feature film as a producer – telling The Hollywood Reporter: “We found the most amazing actresses. Lily, Jane, Rita, and Sally. They brought it all to life. At the end of the day, watching them act and watching them perform was so cool.”80 For Brady is set to hit US screens on January 28.
