On Saturday, Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (November 5). Parton was initially hesitant to be inducted, and she even sought to withdraw from consideration at one point. But she finally warmed up to the concept and has pledged to record a rock album.
During the ceremony, Parton sang a new song called “Rockin’.” She also joined several of her renowned pals for an epic rendition of “Jolene.”
Later, Zac Brown commented on what it was like to perform alongside Parton at the event. “It was a pleasure to serve as @dollyparton’s backup band for last night’s 37th Annual #RockHall2022 induction ceremony,” he stated.
But you don’t have to wait till then to see Parton and her band perform “Jolene.” One audience member recorded the performance and uploaded it to YouTube, which you can see here.
Congratulations to Dolly Parton and all of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honorees!
