Rymir Satterthwaite has spent years alleging that he is the son of the 99 Problems hitmaker, repeatedly speaking out in an effort to have the matter settled once and for all.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has been married to global superstar Beyoncé since 2008, and together they have three children.
His battle began back in 2010 when his late mother, Wanda, filed a legal request in Pennsylvania, asking the court to require Jay-Z to take a DNA test to establish whether he was Rymir’s biological father.
Wanda claimed that she and Jay-Z had a brief relationship in 1992, during a time when she was in an on-and-off relationship with another man, Robert Graves.

With Robert ruled out, Wanda and Rymir have continued their efforts to have Jay-Z take the test, hoping to finally get answers.
According to Rymir, Jay-Z’s legal team has worked tirelessly over the years to prevent the rapper from having to take a paternity test.
He claims this resistance has been ongoing since the first court filing over a decade ago.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: “I want to resolve this and get this matter done. I really do. I don’t want any money. I just want he truth.”
When asked what he would say to Jay-Z if given the chance, he shared: “Honestly, I don’t got nothing against you. I just feel like we could get this resolved. I was never chasing you.”
“I just really want it over with. It is something that is really affecting my life and I just want it over with. My mom passed away during this case and I really feel like I have unfinished business.”
Wanda, who was only 16 when she became pregnant with Rymir, sadly passed away in 2019.
