Robert Irwin, son of the late wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin, recently experienced a strikingly similar encounter to one his father had years ago. Both were bitten by the same species of snake, a carpet python.
Sharing this moment on Instagram, Robert wrote, “Déjà vu. Dad and me getting bitten by the same species of snake decades apart.” He humorously noted that sometimes snake rescues don’t go as planned, showcasing the bite marks on his nose and eyebrow. Like his father, Robert displayed bravery and composure during the incident.
Robert and his sister Bindi, continuing their father’s legacy, are deeply involved in wildlife conservation at Australia Zoo. Steve Irwin passed away in 2006 after being stung by a stingray, leaving behind a significant legacy in wildlife advocacy.
He has grown into a man much like his father, committed to wildlife conservation, earning admiration for keeping Steve Irwin’s memory alive.
