Actress Susan Lucci, known for her role in “All My Children,” took a risk in order to find her happily ever after. She was engaged to another man at the time of the automobile accident that led to her meeting her future husband, Helmut Huber, and he was the one who was driving the vehicle in which she was involved.
The fact that Lucci, a resident of New York, ended her engagement with the guy in question despite the fact that the life-threatening occurrence occurred is not the cause for this.
She became engaged to her then-fiancé when she was a student at Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York, where she majored in acting. Her new partner was driving when they were engaged in a collision with her old partner’s vehicle. They collided with another car in the process.
She described the incident to People in June of 1999 and said that at the time, she did not feel any pain despite knowing that she had been gravely harmed. When Lucci arrived at the emergency hospital, the nurses were talking about her in the past tense, referring to how lovely she was before the accident. They said that they wished the tragedy hadn’t happened.
One of them saw that she was wearing an engagement ring and asked her whether she felt that despite her injuries, he would still marry her. Lucci too had a period in her life when she thought that she would never get better, but then she found a cosmetic surgeon who worked miracles on her face, and now she can say, “I entirely healed.”
When the television personality was just 18 years old, she met the man who would become her future husband, Huber. Huber was an executive chef at the Garden City Hotel in New York, which is where she was working as a server at the time. During an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle in January 2019, Lucci remembered that after recognizing Huber, she immediately went to one of her closest friends and inquired who he was.

In addition to taking on the role of Lucci’s full-time manager, Huber also assumed the role of chief executive officer of both Pine Valley Productions and SL Enterprises. The pair rose to prominence together in New York City, where they both found their home.
As seen by his frequent appearances in the crowd during Season 7 of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2008, while his wife, Susan Lucci, was competing there, Huber was Lucci’s most ardent supporter.

When asked what the two do for one other to demonstrate love, the actress of “Devious Maids” said that she went into nurse mode and gave her partner love massages. She also mentioned how enchanted she was when Huber talked to her in his Austrian accent, which she adored.
