João is a Brazilian man who lives on the streets and is well-known by the neighborhood residents. One day, the local barber wanted to give him a hand and generously gave him a haircut and beard; he even gave her new clothes and shoes.
This event already happened a couple of years ago. However, it recently went viral again, as acts like this deserve to be recognized and remembered. Selflessly, the barber gave this man a makeover in hopes of helping him look and feel better.
Alessandro Lobo was a singer, but due to the situations unleashed by the COVID-19 pandemic, he opened his own barbershop.
One day, João appeared at Alessandro’s barbershop and asked him for a razor because he wanted to fix his scruffy, long beard. The barber did not think twice and offered him a complete makeover.
“It was spontaneous. He came through the door and he had a lot of beard. He asked for a razor blade. I’ve known him for a couple of months, he always stops by. So, the idea came up to give it a makeover”, commented Alessandro.
He got to work, and João seemed different when he finished. Beneath that messy hair and beard were a good-looking man. In addition, it can be seen that his countenance changed completely. He was excited and joyful.
The barber shared the images of this event on his Instagram account, and it quickly went viral.
But the story does not end there; Thanks to the images being shared online, a woman saw this man and knew he was her brother. She said she had not spoken to him for ten years and believed she was dead, so she had just discovered that his brother was homeless. The two met soon after, and the story had a happy ending.
Undoubtedly, this small act of generosity by the barber was a great success for the homeless man; Well, it changed his life. And it is also a good example for all of us that we can achieve a lot and help those who need it with little.
