The 98-year-old leader of a big Kentucky family finally had the chance to meet her first great-great-great-grandchild.
In February, MaeDell Taylor Hawkins held Zhavia Whitaker for the first time when she was only seven months old.
Gracie Snow Howell, the granddaughter, posted a photo online which gained popularity. MaeDell now has over 620 grandchildren from her daughters and their children.
Gracie, who was present, found it special due to the fact that only girls were involved.
Frances Snow, Gracie Snow Howell, Jacqueline Ledford, and Jaisline Wilson, who are all MaeDell’s great-granddaughters, can be seen in the photograph. The picture was captured by Sheryl Blessing, the granddaughter of Hawkins.
In July, MaeDell will turn 99.
Fox News reported that she married a 50-year-old railroad worker who had 10 children from a previous marriage when she was only 16 years old in 1940.
Bill Taylor, Gracie’s husband, often went on business trips. Despite this, they managed to have 13 children together. Their family lived without most modern conveniences, such as running water or a washer and dryer.
Gracie informed People that she knew she had a tough time, but she never complained.
Gracie insisted that her mother Frances had never complained about anything missing in their house.
MaeDell’s love and support have surely played a part in creating generations of happy and healthy women and children, as evident in this picture of six generations of women.
Gracie informed Fox News that if everything goes smoothly, the baby, Grandma, and all of us will gather again in June to take another picture.
The grandmother from Kentucky has 37 great-great-great-grandchildren living in other states, as well as 106 grandchildren, 222 great-grandchildren, and 234 great-great-grandchildren
