Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia grunted often throughout three seasons of the Netflix show!
Liam Hemsworth, the actor known for portraying the role of Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games franchise is all set to wear the big boots of Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher. However, there seems to be a slight problem with Hemsworth’s Witcher.

Fans may know that Geralt of Rivia grunts a lot both in the games as well as in the Netflix series. With Henry Cavill being a gamer himself, he wanted to nail down every aspect of Geralt of Rivia (which includes grunting). Well, Liam Hemsworth’s Witcher allegedly doesn’t.
“Hmmm” – Henry Cavill In Netflix’s The Witcher
Despite the fact that it is just a single exalting grunt, the character of Geralt of Rivia has been associated with his iconic grunting style for many years. With Henry Cavill portraying an exceptional performance as the Butcher of Blaviken in Netflix’s The Witcher, fans also became crazy for his occasional grunts and ponderous thoughts.

As we all know, the actor soon called it quits over creative differences with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, and season 3 was the last season of Henry Cavill’s The Witcher. In his place, Liam Hemsworth took on the silver and steel swords and became the new Witcher.
A teaser trailer for the fourth season of The Witcher has been released and fans are already worried for Hemsworth. From having facial expressions to missing Cavill’s grunts, here’s what people had to say about the upcoming season of The Witcher.
Not my Witcher. But I feel sorry for Liam Hemsworth.
Even if it’s good, it’s going to get shredded online.
Bring out the paid shills!!!

On the other hand, people waiting for Liam Hemsworth to grunt while he turned his face became disappointed with the alleged lack of it in the teaser. It could be a possibility that Hemsworth’s version of Geralt of Rivia doesn’t grunt as often as Cavill.
On the other hand, Freya Allan, the actress who portrays the role of Ciri, publicly supported Hemsworth as the new Witcher. Stating that she wants to see him take on the challenging role, it seems that the bond between Ciri and Geralt remains unbroken (no matter who portrays the role).
Freya Allan Feels Sorry For Liam Hemsworth!
Starring alongside Henry Cavill for three seasons, Freya Allan knows better than most what kind of pressure Liam Hemsworth would be facing at the moment. Taking on the already challenging role, Hemsworth has the responsibility of filling Cavill’s shoes!Freya Allan as Ciri in The Witcher | Netflix
While talking about the upcoming season of The Witcher, Allan was asked in an interview with Collider for Collider Ladies Night what she thought about Cavill’s replacement. In her honest answer, the actress stated that the fandom can become very offensive.
As the interview further continued, Allan clarified that it’s always a hard job to take someone else’s role. That would become a lot more difficult if you’re replacing Henry Cavill. The actress, however, did acknowledge that Hemsworth wanted to portray the role with all his heart and that he has given a lot to the series!
I feel sorry for him, honestly, because, number one, that fan base can be very attack-y, and it’s not an ideal situation to be in taking up someone else’s role. I don’t want to speak for him, but from what I’ve understood, I feel like he’s really wanting to try and bring the heart. He’s been training.
A release date for the fourth season of The Witcher hasn’t been announced yet as reports indicate that the filming has just begun. On the other hand, the first three seasons of the Netflix show received rave reviews and accolades.
The series currently stands at a rating of 8/10 on IMDB and a whopping 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Witcher is available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.
