– I didn’t think it was anything sensational to win. It just felt natural. But when I woke up the next day, I thought that somehow I had finally succeeded. After all, that was the goal when I started playing in the garage with my brother, Claes-Göran Hedenström said in an interview with Newsner in 2020.

The song was number one on Svensktoppen and Kvällstoppen throughout the spring of 1968, and resulted in a tour with Mona Wessman and Lenne Broberg that same summer and fall.

In the interview with Newsner in 2020, the pop star said that it was still with joy that he performed the song.

– I’m still making money from the song, which is absolutely incredible. Everyone has memories of this song. For a while I thought it was a bit annoying. When I perform, it’s about 2 minutes, and it’s pretty light, he told Newsner at the time.

Claes-Göran was discovered by Mats Olsson and made his TV debut in 1967 in Minishow , together with Mona Wessman with whom he later toured, as well as Nina Lizell.
